The 2009 Sparke Helmore / NBN Television Triathlon Festival will be held from Saturday 14 to Sunday 15 March 2009. In the past the one day event has attracted a field of approximately 1300 participants each year. This year the event will expand into a two day event including a Junior Triathlon for 7-13 year old children called the Hunter Valley Orthodontics TriJr on Saturday morning, a Harbour Swimming Event called Wharf to Waves on Saturday afternoon and an exciting Sports Expo. These events are expected to attract an additional 1000 competitors and even larger spectator crowd.

This event has a proud history of being one of the Hunter Region’s largest and most successful health and fitness days. Whether you are a seasoned triathlete, an individual wanting to get fit or a business looking to make a fun day of it, this event has something for everyone. With the introduction of TriJr and Wharf to Waves the event now has something for the whole family.

The Sparke Helmore / NBN Television Triathlon includes:
