Sparke Helmore NBN Triathlon | Welcome |
The 2010 Sparke Helmore / NBN Television Triathlon Festival will be held Sunday 21 March 2010. In the past the event has attracted a field of approximately 1400 participants each year. The Festival will continue to include the traditional short course triathlon and also a relay teams format. For 2010 the festival will include an additional distance option of 1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run. This event will also be the State Olympic Distance Triathlon Championships and is sponsored by Newcastle City Council. All events are open to anyone who is sufficiently able to compete, including the Olympic Distance Event. There will be strict race limits on all events, so enter the event as soon as possible to secure a start position. ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN.
This event has a proud history of being one of the Hunter Region’s largest and most successful health and fitness days. Whether you are a seasoned triathlete, an individual wanting to get fit or a business looking to make a fun day of it, this event has something for everyone.

Each year, the event raises much needed funds for the Hunter Medical Research Institute and its internationally recognised health and medical research in our region. The Sparke Helmore / NBN Television Triathlon includes:
