Sparke Helmore NBN Triathlon hosts qualification round for Australian World Champs Team.

As well as being one of the biggest short course triathlons in Australia, the Sparke Helmore NBN Triathlon to be held 21 March 2010, will now also host the Newcastle Olympic Distance Triathlon, which is also the State Olympic Distance Triathlon Championships and also a qualification event for the Australian Age Group Team for the World Championships in 2010. The event will also host the Australia Defence Force Olympic Distance Championships.  Entries are open to everyone who can complete the distance, but this event distance is not recommended for novice competitors,

Participants looking for a shorter event or to put in a relay team should look at the Diehard, Solo Racers or Team Racers events held straight after the Olympic Distance Event on 21 March. Entries for all events are NOW OPEN.
